Who Am I?

The personal story behind this expedition

Arthur Falisse

“If you don't try, you’ve already lost.”

François Gabart said that when he won the Vendée Globe in 2013. Watching him, I found my own ambition to become a sailor. But after reading 80 Men to Change the World, a book filled with innovators building a sustainable future, my path shifted. I realized I didn't just want to race, I wanted to witness and share the work of the people actually changing our world.

After eight years in sustainability consulting, renewable energy data tracking, and design thinking at CO2logic and FlexiDao, I am setting off on the greatest adventure of my life. My goal is to demystify what powers life on earth, find those making the most impact, and bring back stories of hope for future generations.

The Mission

Sailing: This is a wind-powered, deliberate collaboration with the sea. I use the boat as a platform for change, moving from childhood Optimists to offshore miles.

Data: We are contributors, not just observers. By partnering with Ocean Eye, SeaLabs, and EMODnet, we collect vital environmental data in coastal zones to support ocean health.

People: My podcast moves the conversation from the studio to the sea. I interview climate innovators and clean energy pioneers who prove a sustainable future is already being built.

I am combining my professional expertise with field experience to show that you don’t need a PhD to be part of the solution. You just need to start, because the only true failure is staying at the dock.
